Gabriele “Rusty” Rustichelli (born August 7, 1977) is an Italian musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist and frontman of the alt-metal band Klogr, which he co-founded with former Californian bass player Todd Allen.
Active in rock bands since 1991, Rusty began his musical journey as a guitarist and songwriter, refining his approach through years of live activity before completing three years of formal music studies at the Bologna Music Academy. His background blends heavy music with a strong sense of structure and songwriting, shaped by both classic and modern rock and metal influences.
In 2004, he founded the independent recording company Zeta Factory and has self-produced or co-produced all Klogr releases since 2011. In 2017, Klogr recorded an album produced by Grammy Award–winning producer David Bottrill. Rusty has also recorded, arranged, and produced the band’s two most recent albums, Fractured Realities and Reborn, the latter featuring Art Cruz (Lamb of God) on the single “Bleeding”. His work includes collaborations with artists such as Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly) and Maki (Lacuna Coil) on the EP Till You Turn. As the creative core of Klogr, Rusty continues to shape and evolve the band’s sound through collaboration and long-term artistic vision.
A Sea Shepherd activist, Rusty often writes music in support of marine conservation. Inspired to pursue music at age 14 after seeing Metallica live, he has been fully dedicated to Klogr since 2011.
